Except that coffee needs to be a little stronger. Any posts from me will be far and few between for the next three weeks.

Cleaning Up and Stuck #32
I'm not sure you could tell by looking, but I've been trying to clean up my scrap area. It's time to get things put away and have my desk cleared for the next three weeks. The problem is when I start putting away and organizing, I find a project that is just begging to be started or finished. That's what happened last night when I ran across this SEI Granny's Kitchen paper and this printed twill in my stash. I used sketch #32 from the Stuck?! blog and got this layout done in a flash. And oh yeah....I do realize the paper is older than this little guy. LOL
CPS56 - Baby Boy card
In my office of 45-ish people, we have FOUR babies due in May!! I need to get started on the baby cards. This MMBI embellishment has been in my stash for a long time and worked perfectly with this weeks sketch. Paper is from BoBunny Press.
I'll try to get back with Easter pictures later today!

Happy Cupcake Day
When I saw Taylor's challenge last weekend, I just knew I had to ink up my new cupcake and sentiment from Treehouse Stamps. I used some very old Wild Asparagus paper that's been sitting in my stash way too long. The cupcake was colored with Prisma pencils and OMS, then the icing and cherry were smothered with Stickles. And that little mini cupcake? It was surprise freebie thrown in with my Treehouse order! :)

Taking My Paper World to the Treehouse
Catchy title, huh? I have found a wonderful sketch blog called My Paper World. A sketch is posted every two weeks, but each day of those two weeks a different example of the sketch is posted! This is the first sketch I have done, but I think I'll be checking this blog regularly!
A couple of weeks ago, I joined an online party with other members of the Treehouse Stamps Yahoo Group. Ashley and Kristin are so much fun! During the evening I ended up being the winner of the Everday Sentiments set and the Orchid Elegance individual stamp. As fate would have it, I need to send a sympathy card. I think the orchid and the sentiment work together perfectly.
This was my first time to try faux stitching. I don't have a template, but I just used the edge of my ruler to line up my piercings. Sad when you're too lazy to drag out the sewing machine. LOL
Go now and check out Treehouse Stamps! They have a new release every Friday this month. Last week's release is a must-have for me. And they have a couple of great specials during March. All orders over $40 get free shipping, and when you spend $55 you get a free winter stamp set. Let's just say I have a few more creations to make with all the stamps I ordered. And I'm planning on getting that Quiet Moments set too before the month is over.

Bring On the Challenges!
Yesterday was blah...Too much family drama with my "out-laws" and some frustrations with work. What's my therapy? But I knew I needed a kick in the pants, so I headed over to Lil' Scrappers to join in their online crop this weekend. I was ecstatic to finally scrap a layout.
Then tonight I worked on another challenge...a card with the colors of Spring! This card is also for SketchThis:Cards 44 and a challenge at Ethel's blog
There is still about 48 hours left to join in the online crop. If you're looking for inspiration (and a chance at an unbelievable grand prize), head on over to Lil' Scrappers.

Using my kit scraps
I have the gorgeous March kit on the way, so a few days ago I tried to finish using up what I have left of the Scrap Treasures February kit. For a Valentine/Love theme, the Daisy Bucket papers are so versatile! Here are two cards I made. I'm working on getting a stash of cards built up for all the occasions coming up in the next 5 or 6 weeks since we are getting to my crazy time of year!
The first uses one of Di Hickman's February sketches and the stamp is from an SU Sale-a-bration set.
The second card is from one of Becky Fleck's March sketches. Stamps are from the Circle Words set made my Go Inque. I used my SU Scallop Circle punch on both cards. I sure am getting alot of use out of that punch!
Check back tomorrow because I want to show you some goodies I got in the mail today! I am so excited about them, but my pillows are calling. :)

Tamara's Sketch
I found time over the weekend to play with Tamara's Sketch #34. I've been dying to ink up these Go Inque Birdie stamps. The patterned paper is from Websters Pages. It didn't turn out quite how I pictured it, but maybe it will brighten someone's day.

Out-carded!!!
I have spent a portion of Clark's naptime working on a card for Beate's Sketch #38. I haven't found time lately to work with many of her weekly sketches, and I was starting to get grumpy about it. Last night I ran across this Rusty Pickle Chocolate Bunnies paper I bought after Easter last year, and decided to finally cut into it! I rotated the sketch, and there is no stamping on this card except the sentiment inside.
I was ready to take a picture to upload when my 6 yr. old asked if she could make a card for her Floridian penpal who is owed a long overdue letter. Addison picked out which papers and ink color to use. She also insisted that we use the ticket corner punch on the background paper and that the other papers be adhered with pop-dots! I really think I've been out-carded today!!
I'm heading back to my papers and stamps to finish up some swap cards that absolutely HAVE to be mailed tomorrow. But it's all good! I've got the television tuned to a pre-season Cubs game. Can you believe it's almost baseball season already??? C'mon Spring!

SNOW !!!!
We actually got snow overnight! I haven't even heard an official measurement, but it's the first significant accumulation we've had in a few years. On a whim, Carl bought a sled for the kids yesterday. Luckily, we had a chance to use it. As you can see the streets have been plowed and salted. But we had a blast going down the big hill in front of our neighborhood!! Hopefully it will stick around for a little while so we can go back out later.

RAK from Allison
I got the nicest RAK-back from Allison. If you haven't checked out her blog (especially her shared links of tutorials, challenges, sketches and candy) you need to! She keeps up with everything! And she makes great cards too!
Thanks Allison for the wonderful card. :)
