4 Day Countdown

Four days until the movers show up to take all the furniture to the new house. Between having repairs done, packing, and all the end of school activities there hasn't been much time to blog. I'm having serious withdrawals from my scrap supplies, but I am taking lots of pictures to scrap later.

First, this one taken a week ago when my two settled down on the floor to watch a movie together. Do they really look that much alike? or is it just the thumbs? LOL

This next one is what our house mostly looks like right now.

And the last one is from tonight. We went straight to the new house from work to scrub cabinets, etc. We got takeout from a burger place and had our first meal together there....a picnic in the backyard. Ummm....yes we had takeout....but Addison brought along the picnic basket for ambience. :)

Happy Mother's Day!

For an overworked, semi-stressed mom and a house-poor family, my sweet hubby gave me the perfect gift for Mother's Day! TWO entire uninterrupted hours to stamp alone. He took the kids out for lunch and to an indoor playground (it's cold & windy here!!) which gave me the chance to spend some guilt-free time with a set of new stamps I just got from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

I've been toying around with the idea of sending out change of address cards. I'm still not sure when I think I'll find time to make these, but at least I have a prototype ready in case I need another dose of stamping therapy. I totally lifted the design from another blogger, but I forgot to bookmark it so I can't give her credit. I have a stash of Chatterbox Loft paper that I used for the background. The tag pulls out with our new contact info.

Well...my two hours is up and so many tasks are calling my name. Thanks for stopping by!

Here's what has been pre-occupying my time lately.

As of today, our new home!!! We should be moving at the end of the month. And oh my....I've learned more about foreclosure sales in the past two days than I ever thought I needed to know. But it was well worth it in the end.
